While googling, I found this link that guided me step-by-step to get Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 into my Nexus 7.

But there is a quick little trick that will push the OTA update into my Nexus 7 immediately.

1. Go to Settings -> Apps -> All

2. Find Google Services Framework.

3. Tap on Force Stop.

4. Select Clear Data.

5. Head back to the Nexus 7’s Settings, go to About, and check for a System Update.

At last someone (lontongcorp) managed to remake the categories to sub domains plugin working with the new WordPress version. You need to go to this link to get the working one as the indon guy do not know how to update it to the source page.

You need to tick the “Subdomain Roots as Indexes” option for it to load the category’s posts instead of the main domain page.

1. Search, Download and Install Steamy Window apk.
2. Run the application and tab the Back key.
3. Go to the screen you want to print screen.
4. Tab and hold the Home key.
5. Tab the Steamy Window app.
6. Wipe away all the steam.
7. Tab the Menu key.
8. Save the image.

Increasing Bandwidth Limit

By default (even with QoS disabled) Windows XP and above reserves up to 20 percent of your connections bandwidth. To override this reserve take the following steps.

* Start > Run > type gpedit.msc
* You will see [Local Computer Policy]
* Expand the [Administrative Templates] branch
* Expand the [Network] branch
* Highlight [QoS Packet Scheduler]

* Double-click [Limit Reservable Bandwidth]
* Check [Enabled]
* Change [Bandwidth limit %] to 0 %
* Click [Apply] [OK]
* Restart

Make sure you Log on as Administrator, not as a user with Administrator privileges.

VMware Workstation: Operation on file .vmdk failed

I got an error “Operation on file .vmdk failed.” when i tried to boot up my virtual WinXP machine in VMware Workstation.

Here the things I tried:

a) Repaired the vmdk file –> Basic VMDK-repair know-how

b) Converted to .vhd file –> VMDK(VMWare) to VHD Converter

c) Opened the .vhd file –> Windows Virtual PC

d) Converted the .vhd file back to .vmdk file –> How to convert VHD to VMDK partition types (Convert format to VMDK)

After days of finding the solution. I figured out the simple answer is using Winimage 8.50 and open the .vmdk file to recover all your precious data.
